From AAESS To Andrea Bocelli

Amir Sadeghi has been a student at AAESS since Foundation Stage.  At the age of five, he started violin lessons and since then has been an active part in the music scene of Al Ain, taking part in concerts, school productions, competitions, auditions and music ensembles.

Now in the 6th form, Amir has been an active member in the Al Ain Chamber Orchestra, the AAESS orchestra, the Arabian Youth Orchestra and recently, he was invited to perform with the National Symphony Orchestra, accompanying tenor Andrea Bocelli this past Friday, 22nd April. It is a great honour and a privilege to play alongside one of the best tenors in the world, and we are very pleased to see what a fine musician Amir Sadeghi has become.

Well done Amir, your dedication to the violin and your passion for music will surely inspire many more music students in the school to keep up with their daily practice.

Andrew Thomas, Principal of the School said, “To play an instrument well takes a lot of practice, but to be able to play an instrument at a level that puts you on a stage with a super star such as Andre Bocelli requires dedication that is on another planet!  Amir is another example of the huge talent that we have in this school and it is a real privilege to have such fine students among us.   Congratulations Amir, and I look forward to hearing more from this young man in the near future”.
