Year 3 Assembly
This morning, all four Year 3 classes treated the Primary School to a wonderful assembly, where they shared some fascinating information on the two topics they have been covering.
The first topic they talked about was Rocks and Fossils. As part of this topic, Year 3 recently enjoyed a trip to Jebel Hafeet mountain in Al Ain, where they learnt about the surrounding rocky area.
The children then went on to tell us all about what they had learnt in their Ancient Egyptians topic. There were some wonderful displays on show, which the children had created at home with help from other members of their families. We also got to hear Year 3 sing the “Building A Pyramid” and “Hootin Rootin Tutankhamun” songs and do a fabulously entertaining dance to “Walk Like An Egyptian” by The Bangles.
On Wednesday 24th February, Year 3 will have an Ancient Egyptian Day, when they will all come to school dressed as Ancient Egyptians – that should be quite a spectacle!
Well done Year 3 on a very entertaining Assembly!
