Salama, YR2E student, shares Year of Tolerance symbol

2F had an exciting day on Thursday when one of our classmates, Salama, brought in a Ghaf tree for each member of class to celebrate the year of tolerance. We planted one in our garden to watch it grow throughout the year.

We learnt facts about the UAE’s national tree and the importance of the Ghaf tree. His Highness Shaikh Mohammad said, “Tolerance is a universal value…and the Ghaf, our national tree, is the source of life and stability in the middle of the desert. Under its shadow, our ancestors gathered to discuss their daily lives.”

Thank you Salama for teaching us all about the Ghaf tree.
