Letter from the Principal Re: Term 3

Dear Parent/Guardian/Student,

You have probably heard the news by now that distance learning will continue until the end of the academic year.  This may not have come as a surprise to most of you, but nonetheless it will have raised lots of questions about the learning of our students during this time and some concerns.  Fortunately our contingency plans were designed to sustain this period.
As we evolve with our online learning programme, we are evaluating it and developing training programmes for our teachers.  Over the next week or so, we will be conducting live teacher-parent & student conferences and looking to enhance the student’s learning experience even further.
We have also had an update late yesterday, from the Cambridge Exam Board.  Further details will be sent to parents from Mr Abass, but in essence, the exam boards are requiring schools to submit student assignments and class work as part of a portfolio of evidence, where the exam board will determine the grade.  Our advice, as it has been from the start, is to ensure all exam students continue with their online learning, and to the very best standard that they can.
Can I thank you all for your continued support, feedback and kind messages, as we continue to expand the distance learning into the year.  I know the staff are missing their classes, and like me, wish you all well and the very best of health.
Yours sincerely,
Andrew Thomas B. Ed (Hons), M. Phil NPQH
Principal
