6th Form Building Competition

Four 6th form students had the pleasure of participating in the Abu Dhabi University Bridge Building Competition last term. Their challenge was to design and construct a bridge from ordinary BBQ sticks and glue. More than 20 schools participated in the competition to judge which bridge could produce the highest load to bridge mass ratio. The students were introduced to basic principles of civil engineering and the bridge they constructed managed to support more than 7kg! Congratulations are extended to Ramit Krishnan, Mohammed Dahab, Khaleel Almousa and Adam Khasawneh for representing AAESS in this event.
