Year 5 pupils have created numerous power points on the daily life of Romans. We have also designed a Roman soldier based on the style of the artist Dough Hyde. We then created a Roman soldier statue with a water bottle, plastic, some newspaper and mod roc. We finally painted them once they were dry. Pupils were also inspired by the Chinese terracotta army when they made their Roman army.

We finished our topic by celebrating the children’s work in the hall. Parents and other year groups were invited to our event “Night in the museum”, where pupils had a chance to showcas e and explain their work to parents and other AAESS pupils.
