Arabic and Islamic Studies

Arabic Curriculum

At AAESS, we’re proud to teach Arabic to all our pupils, no matter their background. In line with UAE Ministry of Education guidelines, Arabic is a core part of our curriculum and is taught to both native and non-native speakers, with lessons tailored to suit different levels of fluency and understanding.

Our Arabic lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and enjoyable. Pupils develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while gaining confidence to use Arabic in everyday life. Our experienced and passionate teachers adapt lessons to individual needs and learning styles, using a range of activities, resources, and creative approaches. Alongside language skills, we aim to foster a deep appreciation of Arabic culture and traditions, helping pupils connect with the rich heritage of the region.

Islamic Studies

Islamic Studies is offered to all Muslim pupils at AAESS and plays a valued role in school life. Using the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, we provide tailored learning for both Arab and non-Arab pupils. Lessons explore Qur’anic teachings, Hadith, Islamic values, and the lives of key Prophets, helping pupils understand their faith and how it connects with everyday life.

From the I Love Islam series in Primary to Learning Islam in Secondary, our curriculum promotes curiosity, reflection, and positive character development. Pupils also learn about the contributions of Muslim scholars to the world in areas like science, maths, and medicine. Our Islamic Studies team is committed to making learning meaningful and respectful, supporting pupils to grow spiritually, morally, and socially within a caring school community.
