EAL and Learning Support
Supporting Every Learner
At Al Ain English Speaking School, we embrace the uniqueness of every child and are dedicated to helping all our pupils realise their full potential. We understand that every learner has individual needs, and we work closely with families and, where appropriate, external specialists to develop tailored support that ensures our pupils thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Our dedicated Inclusion Department works collaboratively with Class Teachers, Subject Specialists, and parents to maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere where all pupils feel valued and supported.
Pupils may be identified for additional support during the admissions process, through parental concern, or when a teacher observes differences in learning pace, style, or development. Where specialised support is required beyond the school's provision, we discuss this openly with families at the admissions stage to ensure a transparent and supportive partnership.
English as an Additional Language
The English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme at AAESS supports pupils in developing English proficiency alongside the curriculum. Tailored provision includes small group sessions, one-to-one tuition, and targeted resources. EAL support may be identified at admission or during a pupil’s time at school. Additional charges apply for specialist tuition.
All teachers share responsibility for language development, with English used as the common medium of instruction. Pupils receiving EAL support are fully entitled to access the National Curriculum, and their progress is closely monitored to ensure their needs are met.
The programme values and builds on each pupil’s linguistic and cultural background. Working in partnership with families is key to promoting confidence, academic progress, and a strong sense of belonging.
