The Sixth Form at Al Ain English Speaking School (AAESS) offers students a focused, supportive environment where academic excellence and personal development go hand in hand. With a broad range of subjects and experienced teachers, students are prepared for success in higher education and life beyond school.
Our Sixth Form fosters independence, confidence, and responsibility. Students are expected to uphold the school’s values, sign a Home-School Agreement, and serve as positive role models within the wider school community.
Student Life and Support
Sixth Formers benefit from dedicated facilities, including a social common room, supervised study areas, and access to the canteen throughout the day. Each student is supported by a daily Form Tutor and the Head of Sixth Form, who maintains an open-door policy for academic and personal guidance.
Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles such as prefects, House Captains, or Student Council members, helping to shape school culture while developing key life skills.
University and Career Preparation
Career guidance is a key component of our Sixth Form programme. From Year 12, students begin preparing for university applications through platforms such as UCAS and BridgeU, with full support from tutors and the Sixth Form pastoral team. Applications to global destinations — including the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa, and the UAE — are guided step-by-step to ensure each student has the best possible chance of success.
AAESS is registered with the College Board (CEEB), enabling us to support students through SAT, ACT, and TOEFL requirements for international applications. For those applying locally, tailored guidance is provided throughout the UAE university application process. A weekly University Club offers further one-to-one support, helping students explore options, prepare personal statements, and submit applications with confidence.
